Repair Agreement
What you're agreeing to when you submit a repair ticket.
What this covers
This agreement applies to each individual repair ticket submitted through our repair intake form or contact form, for mail-in service. It works alongside our general Terms & Conditions and Warranty Policy.
Authorization to diagnose
By submitting a repair ticket, you authorize us to inspect and diagnose your controller. Diagnosis alone is not paid repair work — we don't perform any paid repair until you approve a quote.
Quotes and declining a quote
After diagnosis, we send a quote covering the specific services needed. You can approve it, or decline it. If you decline, or your controller can't be economically repaired, or you ask for it back without an approved repair, a $49.99 minimum bench/diagnostic fee applies. If you approve the quote instead, that $49.99 is credited toward the repair — it's not charged in addition to the approved price.
Pre-existing condition
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or issues with components outside the scope of the approved repair.
Shipping risk
For mail-in repairs, you're responsible for safe packing and the risk of loss or damage in transit to us. We recommend trackable, insured shipping — see Mail-In Repair for packing guidance. Once we receive and log your controller, our handling procedures apply.
Right to refuse service
We may decline to service a controller that shows signs of prior unsafe modification, suspected theft, counterfeit hardware, or where required parts simply aren't available.
Payment
Payment is collected through a Stripe Payment Link or emailed Stripe Invoice, due at quote approval unless we've agreed to different timing with you in writing. We never collect or store card numbers directly.
Discount eligibility
If you're claiming a bulk discount or a student/educator warranty extension, you're confirming you actually qualify. We may ask for simple confirmation (e.g., a roster sheet or a school/organization affiliation).
Warranty
Your completed repair is covered by our Warranty Policy — 90 days on the specific repair performed for most customers, or 180 days for students, educators, and official student groups (a .edu email auto-qualifies). The warranty covers the repair performed, not unrelated future failures.
Acknowledgement
Checking the agreement box at intake means you've read and agree to this Repair Agreement, our Terms & Conditions, and our Warranty Policy.
